In 2023, Hamachila Muzandu left a General Manager role at one of Zambia's established steel contractors to build something of his own. This is how Bolide Infrastructure Solutions came to be.
Hamachila Muzandu built his career across logistics, operations and sales in Zambia's steel and construction sector — working his way from planning roles through to management. Over 15 years he developed a reputation for getting projects done and managing client relationships that lasted.
By 2023 Hamachila was serving as General Manager at Dale Steel Infrastructure Limited — overseeing operations, project delivery and business development across structural steel and fencing projects in Zambia. The role gave him a complete view of what it takes to run a construction business — and what could be done better.
In November 2023, Hamachila took the step that most people think about but few actually take — he resigned from a senior management role and incorporated Bolide Infrastructure Solutions Limited. The motivation was simple: he had the experience, the relationships, the technical knowledge and the drive. It was time to build something that was his own.
Within weeks of incorporation, Bolide was delivering. The first projects — ISL internal fencing, ZAMREN Head Office perimeter fencing and ISL pool fencing — established the company's track record in Lusaka. Each project was completed on time and to specification, building the reputation that would open doors to larger clients.
In year two, Bolide stepped up in scale — winning contracts at Zambian Breweries, Simon Mwansa Kapwepwe International Airport and a custom fabrication job at a senior ISL principal's residence. Stefanutti Stocks, one of Africa's largest construction contractors, began engaging Bolide as a specialist sub-contractor — a recognition of quality and reliability that matters.
By 2025 Bolide was operating across five provinces. The Nakonde OSBP border security fence for Trademark Africa and the Ministry of Finance — completed in 10 days, 900km from Lusaka — demonstrated that Bolide could deliver to government standards on demanding timelines. The Bhuku Family Farm Operations Complex in Mazabuka established the company as a credible main contractor for large-scale civil works. Premium residential balustrade projects in Lusaka showed range across sectors. The company continues to grow.

Hamachila Muzandu brings over 15 years of industry experience across structural steel, construction project management, logistics and business development in Zambia. His career includes planning officer, operations manager, sales leadership and, most recently, General Manager at Dale Steel Infrastructure Limited before founding Bolide in November 2023.
He holds a BA in Transport and Logistics, and has managed projects for multinational contractors, government institutions, mining companies and private clients across Zambia. He leads every Bolide project with direct personal involvement — from the first client meeting through to final handover.
His philosophy is direct: deliver what you promise, be transparent about costs, and never disappear once the contract is signed. That approach, applied consistently since 2023, has built a company that now operates in five provinces with a client list that includes government ministries, Tier 1 contractors and major corporations.
Every project starts with a detailed Bill of Quantities. Every line is explained. There are no hidden additions after the contract is signed.
